Anthony J. Ryan is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the USDC, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. His legal focus includes construction defect cases, representing general contractors and subcontractors, automobile liability, product liability, and general liability. Additionally, he has handled mass tort, toxic tort, product liability matters, and multi-district litigation. During law school, Tony interned with U.S. Federal Magistrate Charles B. Smith of the USDC, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. His legal experience spans arbitrations, jury trials, and appellate practice before the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
Before pursuing his legal career, Tony earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and worked as an engineer in various disciplines for a major oil company in California. This technical background provides him with a unique perspective in addressing legal issues. Prior to joining Sweeney and Sheehan, Tony worked with a boutique defense firm concentrating his efforts in mass tort and toxic tort matters and has extensive experience in electronic discovery. In addition, Tony handled an array of general liability cases.
In his free time, Tony and his wife enjoy attending their son’s travel baseball games across the Mid-Atlantic states and supporting all Philadelphia sports teams.
