Brian Dib is a Shareholder at Sweeney & Sheehan and focuses his practice on corporate defense. He prides himself on achieving optimal outcomes for his clients by understanding all aspects of their business and maintains open communication with in-house legal and operational personnel.
Clients call upon him to handle catastrophic injury claims and those claims involving highly complex and sensitive business relationships. Brian has developed a program that focuses on enforcing defense and indemnification agreements that has resulted in his clients regularly obtaining full indemnification. It has resulted in many 5 to 6 figure recoveries reimbursing his clients for their defense fees and costs. In addition, Brian has co-authored, Franchisee Relationship: Indemnification and the Duty to Defend (an introductory guide to defense and indemnification agreements in Pennsylvania) for his clients’ benefit.
Brian is a strong advocate in protecting his clients’ image and brand in highly complex liability and damages cases, including traumatic brain injuries, fatalities, burn injuries, fuel fires, property design claims, construction accidents, negligent security cases including homicides and assaults, product liability, tanker truck accidents, and environmental spills. In addition, his experience includes litigating franchise and lease agreements. He serves as counsel to multiple retail fuel distribution companies, an energy company, and to several resorts, hotels, and casinos.
Brian regularly serves as a court-appointed Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. In addition, he is a certified instructor for the Insurance Society of Philadelphia and has taught multiple seminars to both the corporate and insurance industry on various topics, including the enforcement of defense and indemnity agreements, the drafting of Settlement Agreements, and the use of mock juries.
