Biography

Gillian Southworth is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars, focusing on premises liability, construction, and general liability. Before joining Sweeney & Sheehan, Gillian worked at an insurance defense firm defending medical malpractice and premises liability matters.

Gillian completed her undergraduate degree in political science at the University of Maryland and went on to study at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University. During her time at Duquesne University, she was a board member of the school’s Public Interest Law Association. She also gained experience in the Family Law Clinic and Wills and Healthcare Decisions Clinic. Additionally, she worked as a clerk at a civil litigation firm in downtown Pittsburgh conducting research for client matters related to family law, real estate, and consumer rights.

In her leisure time, Gillian enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going on runs or hikes, and relaxing at the beach.
