Our clients include domestic and foreign manufacturers and sellers, both insured and self-insured, of diverse products, including power tools, household appliances, recreational equipment, consumer goods, amusement rides, bicycles, industrial machinery, commercial motor vehicles, personal mobility products and HVAC equipment. Our attorneys have successfully defended these products, not only in the State and Federal Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but across the United States.

A specialty within the Firm’s product liability practice is the investigation and defense of claims involving fires and explosions. In these and other matters, our attorneys assist clients with early investigation of these incidents and coordinate the retention of experts. Our lawyers are experienced in fire scene investigations and relevant standards which govern such investigations, including NFPA 921.

SWEENEY & SHEEHAN also serves as National and Regional Counsel for many of our clients. In that capacity, our lawyers provide advice to clients concerning product liability related issues on a national basis. Our lawyers frequently lecture on product liability issues, including the admissibility of expert testimony, spoliation of evidence, evidentiary and discovery issues and trial strategy.
