Nia Mills is member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar. Her legal practice covers areas in general negligence, defense of motor vehicle claims, general insurance coverage claims, and uninsured and underinsured motorist claims.
Prior to entering private practice, Nia served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Gwendolyn Blue, P.J.Cr. in the New Jersey Superior Court, Criminal Division, Camden County. Serving as a law clerk to the presiding judge of the criminal division allowed her to gain experience in criminal matters as well as civil matters including prerogative writ actions, condemnation proceedings, attorney trust cases, and other general civil matters. Additionally, clerking allowed Nia to improve her negotiation skills through mediations in landlord-tenant disputes, special civil matters, and small claims court.
Nia is a graduate from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law where she was a member of the Black Law Student Association and the Criminal Law Society. Nia also participated in Villanova Law’s Clemency Clinic where she represented clients seeking compassionate release from prison.
Prior to pursuing a legal career, Nia graduated Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Hartford where she majored in Politics and Government and minored in Africana Studies. Nia participated as a short sprinter on the University’s Division I Women’s Track and Field Team. She also served as the president of the Black Law Student Association Pre Law Chapter and was a senior resident assistant.
Outside of work, Nia enjoys watching movies and the newest television shows, going on walks, and spending time with friends and family.
