Summer R. Cordasco is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar. Her legal practice covers a diverse range of  areas, including premises liability, construction accidents, general negligence claims, casualty, commercial automobiles, and first party claims.

After law school, Summer served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Marlene Lynch Ford, A.J.S.C. (ret.) and the Honorable Laurie C. Poppe, J.S.C., in the Ocean County Vicinage of the Superior Court of New Jersey. During her clerkships, she gained meaningful insight into the judicial process and built a strong foundation in civil procedure, family law, and motion practice. She also mediated small claims and landlord-tenant disputes. Prior to joining Sweeney & Sheehan, Summer worked as a law clerk at a New Jersey-based regional firm, supporting attorneys on a range of  family law and insurance defense matters. In that role, she assisted in representing insureds in automobile liability claims by preparing litigation materials, coordinating with medical professionals, and managing HIPAA-compliant medical record requests.

Summer earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey where she served as a senior staff editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy. She also received the Blaine E. Capehart Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and her note, Raising the Bar: Why New Jersey Should Reconsider its Mental Health Inquiries on the Bar Exam, was selected and published in the Fall 2021 issue. Immediately prior to law school, Summer graduated summa cum laude from Stockton University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Historical Studies and minor in Latin.

Outside of the office, Summer enjoys reading, practicing yoga, and spending time at the beach.
